The cricket is leaving the grasshoper...



'Joe Torre, the fifth-winningest manager in Major League history, is leaving the Dodgers. In his place, Don Mattingly, 49, a six-time All-Star and the American League Most Valuable Player in 1985 as a first baseman for the Yankees. He has never managed at any level, but when he joined the Dodgers with Torre three years ago, it was no secret that Mattingly would be groomed to replace him.
